Admission Process for AP Courses
Tamiscal will offer the following AP Course for 2012-2013
AP ENGLISH LITERATURE & COMPOSITION
to be taught by Ellen Strempek, (Mondays and Tuesdays: 9-10:30am) Carlisle Building
Criteria for Admission: B or better in previous English course and teachers’ recommendations: SENIORS ONLYStudents who enroll in this course will receive a summer reading list with assignments. The assignments will be due on the first day of class. Any student who has not completed the assignment will not be allowed to continue in the course.
AP courses are designed specifically as preparation for college courses and the Advanced Placement Test. They are rigorous courses and are not to be entered into lightly. If you are interested in enrolling, contact your Core Subject Teacher to obtain the standardized form and to ask for the required recommendation.
