8th grade students and parents wanting to learn more about Tamalpais High School may take a Tam Tour.

You will have a chance to meet the principal and hear from teachers and /or counselors. You will then take a walking tour of the campus and receive a packet with lots of additional information about Tam and all that we have to offer your student.

Tours generally last about three hours.  We restrict each tour to under 30 people.  Drop-ins are not accepted.

The Tam tours are designed for both parents and 8th grade students to attend together (we require a parent to attend the tour with their student). We cannot guarantee space on a later tour date if you choose to come without your student and then decide to tour again in the spring with the student.


Tours take place on Thursdays and begin at 8:00am in Wood Hall (Clock Tower). The 2012-13 tour dates are:

  • October 11
  • October 25
  • November 8
  • December 6
    December 13  (additional tour added)
  • January 17
  • January 31  
  • February 7
  • February 28
  • March 28
